About Captain Matt Stratton
Hey there, my name is Matt Stratton, owner operator of Orange Beach Bowfishing. I grew up in Ohio and spent majority of my free time in the outdoors. In 2015 I was introduced to bowfishing where I fell in love with the sport! It didn't take long before I had my own boat and boat setup. I started shooting nationwide tournaments in 2016 as well as hosting multiple local and state championship tournaments in Ohio. In 2021 I decided to start guiding after having hundreds of people asking me pointers, how to, and where to go questions. This isn't a job to me, this is a deep deep passion that I have. I love watching the excitement when people get out there and shoot a fish, no matter if it's their first or their thousandth! The peace that comes along with being out there in nature, lights on, enjoying the breathtaking views and encounters with the wildlife!
